Established in 1928 in support of the Dallas Idlewild Debutantes, the Dervish Club is one of the oldest private men’s social clubs in Dallas, Texas. The founding members created an organization aimed at fostering fraternal and business relationships to benefit both its members and the surrounding community. Today, more than 85 years later, the Dervish Club remains committed to its founders’ vision.
The Club sponsors numerous social, formal, and charitable functions throughout the year, including select events with its peer clubs, Idlewild, Calyx, Terpsichorean, Slipper Club, and Cotillion. The Club has also partnered with other professional organizations in the Dallas area for special events.
The health and longevity of the Club is a testament to the Club’s strong and active membership base. As we move through the 21st century, the Club remains committed to creating and strengthening personal relationships, fostering the personal growth and involvement of its members, and benefiting local community and business.
